Yeah, it's time for an update. I'm not very good with this anymore, I know. It's just been hard to update in between work, seeing people, and other stuff. Sorry.I went home this past weekend. John and I drove back up Friday afternoon. It was a fun ride, despite the rain along the way. I got home and went over to my neighbors' house, where Annie was baby-sitting. Ben and Jake are just so damn cute! I'm having such a hard time believing the Jake is 3 now. I remember the first time I sat for him and he was like 6 weeks old. He was talking nonestop and tried wrestling me. The funniest part was when Annie put in Veggie Tales for him to watch. Just as the chorus starts, Jake starts screaming 'Veggie Tales! Veggie Tales!' at the top of his lungs, jumping around like a little monkey and tried to do somersaults. Definitely made my night. My parents went out Friday night for the first time in like forever. I got my mom to dress up and put on make up and wear jewelry too. After they left, Lauren came over. I hadn't seen here since Memorial Day, so it was great to see her again. We watched Million Dollar Baby and ate ice cream. Ally watched with us too. It was a pretty good movie, with the last 30-45 minutes being pretty sad. After Lauren left, I decided it was time for bed because I was tired from work and the drive. Saturday was Kevin's birthday and a friggin long ass day. I woke up with 20 minutes to take a shower and get ready for Ally's softball game/going out to Coventry with Judy and Kevin. I pulled it off somehow. I watched the first game of the doubleheader (Ally went 2-3 with an RBI) and then Judy came and we watched a little of the second game before heading out. We had to go to Judy's house so she could get a shower and change and then we went and picked up Kevin. Of course, it has to start pouring while we're on Coventry and wouldn't let up, but we didn't let it bring us down. We went to Mongolian Barbeque, where Kevin ordered his first drink (Long Island Ice Tea). Judy and I watched him eat til his heart was content, then we went back to his house to get out of our wet clothes. We went to Medic, where Kevin bought more alcohol, which Shaun had to ring out. Then we had to go to like 5 other stores to find the ice tea that Kevin wanted. After we got that, some of the Columbus crew was up here, so we met them at Palisades to watch them bowl for awhile. Shaun and Brandon later joined us and we went out again. It has been forever since I've seen Brandon (Judy and I figured it was over two years!). We all hung out and talked for awhile, before we realized everyone but me had to work the next morning, so we called it a night at midnight. Sunday was pretty boring. I came back to Columbus with John and then I did laundry and I'm trying to think of what I need to do before I go home next week for my teeth. I have to clean my room, work extra hours to make up for ones next week that I'm missing, and figure out what I do and do not need while I'm recovering. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them. Today, I worked from 8-1:30. For awhile, I just sat around and stared at a phone, which was very exciting. After that, I moved down to the regular office and talked with Brandon and Timika. I'm going to miss Timika when she leaves us at the end of this week. She's so goofy and finds a way to make everyone happy. Brandon and I have been having really good talks lately about guys and girls. Everyday, it's a new topic and another debate. So much fun. That's about all I have to talk about right now. I'll try and update again soon and not wait so long so there's a shorter entry next time. |
