Not only does this mean I get manager's pay, but my pay for working my regular job gets bumped up a dollar an hour. I can work between 20-30 hours a week, with half of them being manager's hours. Granted, I have to work two 4:30-1:30 shifts at night, but since I don't have class til 1:30 twice a week, I'm not too worried about it.
Today, I did my first official duty as a manager. I got to be part of the interviewing process for new employees. I got to sit down, ask this girl a bunch of questions, write down her responses, and then discuss with Justin and Shanna what I thought about her and if we should hire her. It felt like I was an authority figure.
I'm so happy about this. I get better pay, more hours, and some stress gets to be lifted off of me for awhile. Thanks for all the support you guys sent my way about it too. I love you all!
She couldn't get up to turn on the fan, so why did I expect her to go to my room? | I think I know what I'm going to get with my new promotion :-)
